Pros and cons of Bonjour RATP app for iPhone and iPad

Bonjour RATP app good for

Extremely helpful for planning the time and route in Paris and suburbs. I am using it all the time really.

Great way to determine the fastest route between two points in Paris. Provides times and connections. Much better than winging it on the metro every time as bus routes included!

It works well and is a good help for tourists who live out of Paris.

Wonderful app! Makes Parisian travel a breeze! Used it extensively to plan trip. Consulted it daily. Truly worthwhile. Bravo!

If you are traveling Paris at all and planning on taking transit then you have to download this app. Works on and offline which is so good. The route finder is so simple and works amazing and quick to tell you what trains, buses etc. to take and switch on and off. A very very well designed app for travellers in Paris and riding transit. Thank you!!!

A very good app... but it doesn work without connection. Damn!

Some bad moments

Well, every larger city in the world has this kind of app. The one from Paris is the worst as there is only a French version.

Worst public transportation app Ive seen in a long time. Extremely buggy.

…at least on an iPhone 4s. Also it is barely useable without an internet connection which, guess what, I never have on the Metro. You can use it a glorified Metro Map though, if you don’t get tired of dismissing all those „No Internet connection“ Popups, that is. Above ground, the excellent app „Transit“ is the weapon of choice to tame Parisian public transit.

This has been a wonderful app that has made living in Paris much easier HOWEVER the latest update is auto-running video advertising, fortunately only on my tablet and not my phone (so far). I find the static, visual ads annoying but tolerable but the videos must stop! Or you must let me pay to get rid of them. I cant have my tablet suddenly making so much noise. It is very rude and disruptive to those around me. Either that, or I have to keep my sound turned off, or stop using the app on my tablet.

This app crashes every time I try to open it!! It wont work with iPhone 4!

The app crashes all the time. And if somehow it manages to look for a route ot shows not the most efficient routes. It is also hard to use... Better stick with a traditional map
