Useful app for visiting Paris and taking Metro, bus, or RER

After encountering endless stairways on the Metro while lugging around the child, stroller, etc., we decided to try our luck with the buses. Couldnt have done it without this official app from RATP.

Note that the app does require a data connection in order to download individual route maps or schedule travel, so sign up for International roaming with your carrier, or get a SIM for your unlocked device. Even without a data plan, you can probably preload some of the route maps at a wifi hotspot and refer to them later. The system maps seemed to work without a data connection.

Also, while the screenshots in the App Store are in French, the app does recognize your devices language setting and will work in English.
